Tanzanite
Welcome to the first edition of Lucid Treasure’s “Gem of the week” where we pick one of our favorite gems/minerals and share it’s awesomeness!
Tanzanite is one of our favorite specimens, between it’s captivating color spectrum, to it’s intriguing architecture, it is almost always a feast for both the eyes and the mind.
Hey Kayla and Gabriel:
Lovely! I am liking your idea of featuring gemstones and their meanings and such as part of your thing. I’m assuming that the jewelry you display are your creations as well. Well-done!
One of my favorite reference books about gemstones and minerals and their metaphysical properties is the updated LOVE IS IN THE EARTH: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals by Melody.
If you haven’t come across it, I do recommend it to you.
Thank you so much Netta!
I have never heard of that book before, but will definitely add it to the collection, we are always on the lookout for good reading material!
Everything in our shop was all handmade by me and my wife Kayla, keep an eye out as we add more this week 🙂
Have a great one;
Gabriel G.
Gabriel, I really find gemstones fascinating. I live in Tasmania. Prior to moving down here we visited several times and the first port of call was the Heritage Centre in Zeehan. Part of this was the original School of Mines and there is a superb exhibition of various minerals in it.
I also have friends that are avid fossickers. I am unfortunately not one. My idea of fossicking is to walk around, look down and collect the rubies, amethyst, quartz crystals and the like just laying at my feet!
My neighbour is a diamond merchant. He has shown me a number of raw diamonds and I couldn’t have picked them as such if my life depended on it.
And that is why I really like Kayla and your website. Plus the jewellery you design and make is so individual. I can see you really going places.
Ciao
Helen
Hello Helen, I hope you are doing great!! Sorry for the late reply, we were away on a bit of a family vacation 🙂
Rock hunting is something that is on our bucket list to do soon, once our son is old enough that would be a very fun outing for him. There are a lot of awesome gems and minerals local to us here is Colorado.
I bet you have seen some amazing pieces in your neighbors collection!
Thank you for the kind words, we look forward to hearing more from you!!
